This sport is played on a rectangular flat surface court. The court maybe hard court of concrete, grass, or clay court. Like in the table tennis, the court is divided at the center by a net. Two players, one on each side compete for the single’s play and two on each for the doubles play. These games are played by men or women with the same rules and regulations. In any game or competition an umpire officiates the game and stays at one side of the court. He has the authority to decide. The umpire is assisted by line men. In lawn tennis, players below 18 years old are considered juniors. Over 18 years old enter professional tennis. Grand slam competitions are annually held for juniors and professionals with large amount of price money. Of course you have to be mentally and physically fit because the match is continuous. Stamina will be a big factor in winning.
